Time Keeps on Slippin'.....

This little man will be 2 one week from tomorrow.  I can't believe it!   He is growing up so fast and is truly leaving the "baby" stage behind, though he'll always be my baby boy!

We received a daycare progress note this week commenting on Robert's developing vocabulary.  He spoke in a complete sentence to his teacher, saying, "I want my shoes off, too, Abby!"  He is often our echo, repeating and absorbing everything we say!   Sometimes, we wish he wasn't so vocal....

We spent the weekend in Finger working hard on the farm, trying to get it ready to put on the market again.  We made a trip to Lowe's, and as we walked in the front door, he said something like, "Where's my nuts?  Where's my nuts?"  over and over and over again..... We think he was asking for peanuts (because we're quite certain he hasn't learned any other meanings for that word), but a man who was following us in got a BIG laugh at Robert's words and at our embarrassment!

Jenny came over for a visit tonight, and after running outside to greet her, he turned to her and said, "Come on in, Jenny!"

I love watching him grow up, and I hate watching him grow up!  I can't BELIEVE two years ago we were sitting around predicting when our still nameless little baby would be making his appearance in the world.....

We will celebrate Robert's birthday with a party at "school" and a small family party that night at home.  His birthday kicks off a summer full of activity for us.  We will be putting the farm back on the market.  James will be finishing his second class of the summer.  James starts a new chapter in his ministry on June 27th (more on that in a later post).  Then, in July, we are all 3 planning to head to Washington, D.C. for two weeks for me to repeat the job training that was snowed out in February.  After our return, we will be packing boxes and unpacking boxes (again, more on that later).  And then school starts for James in August.   Busy times are ahead!!
