Bobert Knows

Robert is proving to be quite the observant child.  He knows the names of most of the children in his daycare - even those not in his room, and often knows their first AND last names.  Further, he identifies the PARENTS of the children in the daycare (even those not in his classroom).  If a new parent comes in, his teacher reports that he asks, "What's that?" (Who's that?) and then memorizes who the new parent belongs to.  He also knows the first and last names of the teachers in the school.

He can identify my sister Jenny's high rise condo building when we drive through Nashville, declaring, "There's Jenny's house!"

Last week at training, I wore a new outfit.  When I got back to the hotel, upon seeing it for the first time, Robert said, "Mommy have new dress!"

James reported today that when they drove by the building where my training is taking place, he said, "That's where Mommy is!"

The incident that has impressed me the most recently, however, came last night.  We were out doing some shopping and saw some purses.  He asked, "What's that, Mommy?"  I said, "Those are purses. Lots of purses."  He saw an orange one and said, "That's Grano's purse!"  My mother is currently carrying an orange purse that Robert has probably seen three times, the most recent of which was weeks ago.
