We made it back to Nashville in one piece. We were pleasantly surprised when we arrived home and found that my mother-in-law had packed almost all of our house for us. I'll have a few things to secure before the movers arrive on Friday, but we're basically all set! Such a blessing!
We caught a bit of sleep Saturday night and woke to a stressful morning on Sunday. We were supposed to LEAVE for church by 7:30 in order to get to the first service in time. Well, James apparently turned off the alarm instead of hitting snooze, and I turned over to see that it was 7:16! We did make it in time to church and had great services at both churches. We then headed over to the parsonage to see what progress had been made while we were gone. And wow! What progress! They have painted and cleaned and scrubbed and painted some more! We are very grateful to be moving into a freshly painted and clean home. To top it off, one of the sweet ladies at the church asked me to name a few things that we like to eat, as they are going to stock the refrigerator with a few things for our arrival! How blessed are we?!?!?
The movers will be coming bright and early on Friday morning. We have a busy week ahead to be sure!
I might not have much time for updating this week, so I will leave you with one of my favorite kodak moments from the trip. On the way into the D.C. area, James stopped to buy some matching goggles for the two of them. Robert LOVED the "glasses." He immediately put them on and wore them the rest of the 30 minute or so trip to the hotel. He then wore them into the lobby to check in. Needless to say, he was an instant hit with the ladies behind the desk, who showered him with love and gifts for the rest of our stay!
