James' mom has her first chemotherapy treatment this morning. She will be administered one drug today, one drug next Wednesday, and then have one week off. The entire course of treatment is complicated, but basically, that cycle will be repeated 8 times. Her oncologist is hopeful that treatment will be finished by late July / early August and that she will be feeling better by about September.
In the past few weeks, she has been able to regain some strength and has gained a good bit of her lost weight back. Her breathing is still an issue, as is her stamina, but she has made good, hard progress in preparation for chemo. We are praying that time will go quickly as she goes through this process, with as little harmful side effects as possible for her. Thank you for your continued prayers!
