I have struggled with the news of Pat Summit's announcement this week that she has early-onset dementia. Pat Summit is the person every Tennessee girl who joins a pee wee basketball program looks up to. Their daddies take them to UT Lady Vols ballgames, and they aspire to play for Coach Summit one day. I was no exception to this rule.
