Pray for Kate

Kate McRae is a beautiful 7 year old little girl who lives in Arizona, a little girl who is bravely fighting for her life.  I read about Kate through one of the blogs that I follow and have been praying for her for about a year and a half.  At the age of 5, she was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor.  In a brief period of months, she has undergone countless scary and grueling treatments, including chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation.  A few months ago, a scan revealed no residual tumor.  She was cancer free!  Yesterday, however, she went for a repeat MRI to further examine a mysterious spot that had appeared in September.  Her family was hopeful because she had experienced no new symptoms and was improving by leaps and bounds...... But additional new spots were detected on her little brain.  Kate has exhausted most treatments, so her doctors will be searching diligently for any possible remaining treatments that might save this little girl's life.

I don't personally know this family, but my heart aches for each of them.  The power of prayer is immeasurable.......Please, won't you join me in praying for sweet Kate?

You can follow her here:  http://www.prayforkate.com/.  There is a link to the Caring Bridge site (labeled blog) which her mother updates regularly.

“The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” Psalm 34:17-18
