A Jackson Trip and a Silly Hat

Robert and I made a trip to Jackson this weekend to visit my folks. We shared a good meal with my brother and his boys Friday night (Robert ate his mac n cheese and my mac n cheese and more mac n cheese!), and then spent the day Saturday just messin' around. We went to the Farmer's Market,

played and played and played in Grano and Boo's yard....

picked up some sticks....

and had another wonderful meal Saturday night (complete with Boo's grilled pork chops and Grano's fried green tomatoes).

Robert received a gift from Grano and Boo:  a new hat. At some point during the evening, Robert had pulled out Grano's yoga mat, so in honor of his Aunt Jenny, we made pictures of Robert in his new hat doing "yogurt" on the "yogurt mat."

Of course, I got in on the hat wearing fun, too....

Macy was not as excited about the hat as we were.....

My sweet boy was exhausted after all of that fun and took a good nap in the car on the way home....




We arrived home, played outside until the mosquitos ran us indoors, and then took a bath and enjoyed Sunday night pizza!



This morning, Robert was excited about wearing his new "silly hat" to school and showing it to Ms. Betty. He wore the hat proudly as he entered his classroom, but as soon as his buddy Garrett wanted to touch it, Robert decided that the hat needed to stay in his cubby today! (Each child has a cubby for his or her own personal items.)
