More Growing Pains for Mama

A new phrase has entered our household.  It makes me want to cry every time it comes out of his mouth.....

"Don't help me!  I can do it myself!" 

Or, more often, it's "My want to do it myself!"

Life with our two-year-old is unbelievably fun, and almost hourly he says something that either amazes us or makes us laugh until we cry, but this streak of independence has unnerved me a bit.  Next week, he'll be asking for the keys to take the car out by himself for the first time.... and the next week, he'll be moving out to start college!  When they say that they grow up too quickly, they aren't kidding!!!
